If you wish to use any photography for marketing or other purposes, explain this clearly to parents and guardians and obtain their permission.

Respect Privacy

No matter what type of photoshoot is taking place, it’s important to always respect the privacy of the individuals being photographed. Be sure to consider their feelings before photographing them, ensuring they are comfortable with every aspect of the session.

Build Trust

Building trust between students, their parents, and yourself is a good way to ensure a smooth photography session. Talk to them, share your experience and show your work, all while maintaining a calm and cheerful demeanor to keep your subjects comfortable and happy. Building a positive rapport is also a great way to ensure repeat business.

Be Mindful of Online Sharing

As mentioned, if you wish to use any photographs for marketing purposes, you must obtain permission from the parents or guardians beforehand. When you upload your photos for the parents to see, ensure that your galleries are password-protected so only those with the password can access the photos.
